Tūmahana

 We were lucky to be able to go to the Town Hall and watch the Tūmahana Show. Have a look at what we got up to and what we enjoyed about the show...

We went to Margaret Mahy playground first to have a play.  

Then we walked to Tūranga before we watched the show and created in the Lego pit.

We really loved watching the show in the town hall.  

We enjoyed it when the men were fighting with the mau rākau.  

We also liked the people swinging on the rope in the air.

 

We loved when it went dark and the stars were on everything.

Kai Tahu Creation Story

Today we learnt the Kai Tahu Creation story because we are going to watch the Tūmahana show on Monday.  

It was a bit different from the story we already knew.  After we heard the story we talked about our favourite part.  We drew a picture to show our favourite part.  Have a look at our mahi.

When Rakinui asked Tāne Mahuta to lift him off so that the babies would be well.  Kōwhai

Tapatahi

 We looked at how we show tapatahi (Resilience) at Rāwhiti.  We drew some pictures of times when we showed tapaathi and made a poster for our akomanga.  Have a look at our poster...
